| Pigmented lesions are a common skin concern in which a
patch of the skin is darker than the surrounding areas. These
patches can vary in size and can occur across entire body.
Pigmented lesions can occur for a variety of reasons ranging
from hormonal changes, skin damage and sun exposure. For
pigmentation caused by hormonal changes or melasma we
recommend the

Depigmentation treatment for optimum
results. For brown spots, caused by sun exposure we
recommended laser treatment. During you consultation your skin
expert will be able to diagnose the pigmentation and advise
you on the appropriate treatment course. |

| Brown Spots |
| |
Brown spots, also known as sun spots, liver spots and age
spots occur due to sun exposure and are commonly found on the
face, chest, upper back, hands and lower legs. These brown
spots can have an ageing effect on the skin as it creates a
patchy discoloured appearance to the skin. Thankfully these
can be visibly lightened and removed with our laser to give
the skin a more youthful appearance. Normally 1-3 treatments
are required for optimum results.

| How does the laser treatment work? |
| |
| The laser light is absorbed by the brown spot and
converted into heat causing it to break down. After your
treatment the area will appear darker than prior your
treatment, and may form a thin crust which peels off within a
week, either lightening or completely removing the brown spot. |

| Am I suitable for the treatment? |
| |
| Most people are suitable for treatment except for very
dark skinned or tanned individuals. Dark moles should not be
treated. |

| What does the treatment feel like? |
| |
| Most clients experience a mild warming sensation, our
laser machine has a built in contact cooling device to make
your treatments more comfortable. |

| What will I look like afterwards? |
| |
| The skin may be slightly red and the brown spots will
appear darker before they fade away. |
