| Spider Naevi |
|
Spider Naevi are quite common and they may cause some
distress and embarrassment for those who have them as they are
commonly found on the face. Spider Naevi (also known as
telangiectasia) are small superficial red, purple or blue
veins that occur close to the skins surface. The laser energy
targets and cauterises the veins, effectively cutting off the
blood supply. Once blood is no longer supplied to the vein, it
will be naturally absorbed and expelled by the body. Results
may be seen after one treatment; however a course of
treatments may be required every 6-8 weeks, depending on the
area being treated and your response to the treatment.

| Blood Spots |
|
Blood Spots, also known as Campbell de Morgan spots, are
bright red in colour, protrude from the skin and are usually a
couple of millimetres across, although they may grow to being
half a centimetre. They do not have any veins radiating away
from them. Blood Spots are common and are usually found on the
upper body. Blood Spots are purely a cosmetic concern and can
be removed quickly and effectively. We use laser to
effectively remove blood spots which works by coagulating the
blood in the vessels. The vessel then collapses and
disappears. The treatment itself is a little uncomfortable but
easily tolerated. There are minimal after effects, with a
little heat and swelling in the surrounding area. Each
treatment lasts around 15 minutes.

| Blue and Red Leg Vein Removal |
|
If you suffer from thread veins you are not alone.
Millions of
women are bothered by unsightly clusters of red, blue / purple
veins that most commonly appear on the thighs and calves. Our
advanced laser technology can safely and effectively treat
red, blue and purple leg veins up to around 3mm in diameter.
Immediately after the treatment the area will appear red and
may be slightly swollen. This is normal and will subside within
48 hours. It may be necessary for you to have 2-4 treatments
every 6-8 weeks depending on your response to the treatment.

| How are thread veins treated? |
|
| The laser light targets and cauterises the veins to cut
off the blood supply. As the blood is no longer being supplied
to the vein, it will be naturally absorbed by the body. The
laser is pulsed along the vein being treated. |

| How many treatments are necessary? |
|
| Typically three to four treatments are needed for maximum
results, every four to six weeks. Small vessels may clear in
just one session. |

| How long does each treatment take? |
|
| Treatment is relatively quick and can be just 10 minutes
for a single vessel or up to 45 minutes. |

| What will I see after the treatment? |
|
| Immediately after treatment some thread veins may
disappear, these veins may re-occur a few days later, but be
less visible. With further treatment these vessels will
disappear and are not likely to reoccur. |

| What does treatment feel like? |
|
| During the treatment most of our clients will feel a mild
